Parent Participation and Responsibility

Island Homeschool is a social connection resource created to help homeschool families connect and participate in group activities, outings, field trips, and other social opportunities.

Island Homeschool does not provide childcare or supervision.

Parents and guardians are responsible for their own children at all times and are expected to remain with their children for the entire activity or event.

Each parent or guardian is responsible for:

• Supervising and caring for their own child.
• Their child’s safety, behavior, and individual needs.
• Any admission fees, tickets, purchases, or other costs.
• Providing their child’s food, drinks, medications, supplies, and other personal needs.
• Determining whether an activity is appropriate and safe for their child.

Participation in any activity is voluntary. Parents and guardians assume responsibility for themselves and their children while attending.

Island Homeschool and those who help organize or share activities do not assume responsibility for the supervision, care, expenses, personal needs, injuries, loss, or damages of participating families or their children.

By participating in an Island Homeschool activity, parents and guardians acknowledge and accept these responsibilities.
